Our Commitments
An observation
25% of greenhouse gas emissions come from our diet.
This makes it the number one way to reduce your environmental impact as an individual.
A HappyVore product results in, on average, 12 times fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
From our first “
” to today
Guillaume Dubois and Cédric Meston decided to launch HappyVore because changing our eating habits—by reducing our consumption of animal protein in favor of plant-based protein—had become the obvious choice and even a matter of urgency.
In 2019, the journey began with months of research and development to create new products that would enable all French people to reduce their daily meat consumption.
Eating should remain a pleasure and be good for your health. So, there was no question of compromising on the taste, nutritional quality, or ingredients of our products—or, of course, on fulfilling our mission to protect the planet. That’s what unites the entire team.
In September 2020, we made history once again—our own (and almost that of France): we opened a plant-based meat production line in France.
In 2022, we took another major step forward by building our own factory in the Loiret, a region with a long tradition of processing legumes.
From the very beginning of this journey, our goal has been to offer you products that are good for you, the planet, and society. This is why we became a BCorp brand very early on.
What is BCorp? It’s an internationally recognized certification now considered the most comprehensive in terms of social, environmental, and societal impact.
To join the BCorp movement, companies must meet certain criteria across several areas: environment ( environmental management, water, land, and life), employees (compensation, health & well-being, development & training, engagement & satisfaction), community (diversity & inclusion, economic impact, civic engagement, supplier policy), customers (customer management), and governance (mission & commitment, ethics & transparency, governance & finances).
And to pull all this off,
has a top-notch team
Gender Equality Index
Every year, companies with more than 50 employees publish their gender equality index, a valuable opportunity to measure and improve equity within the organization. At Happyvore, we achieved a score of 98 out of 100 for 2025, reflecting our ongoing commitment to equality.
This index is based on the following criteria:
- Gender pay gap: With a gap of 1.9% in favor of women, we scored 38 points—a positive result. This indicator demonstrates our commitment to ensuring a fair compensation policy.
- Individual pay raise rate gap: With a score of 35/35, we achieved the maximum score on this indicator. Our efforts have paid off and now enable us to ensure complete equity in individual pay raises.
- Percentage of female employees who received a raise after returning from maternity leave: All eligible female employees received a raise, earning us the maximum score of 15/15. This confirms the importance we place on supporting every career path without any penalties related to motherhood.
- Gender parity among the 10 highest-paid positions: With 4 women in these key roles, we achieved a score of 10/10—a result of which we are very proud.
With an overall score of 98/100, we celebrate this very positive result, which demonstrates our ability to turn our commitments into concrete progress.
However, we remain committed. Our ambition remains clear: HappyVore remains firmly committed to ensuring lasting equality in pay and promotion for all its employees.
